TASC Test Design
TASC test was created by Data Recognition Corporation | CTB—experts who are skilled at developing tests that assess school performance. All questions in TASC test have been carefully crafted working with experienced secondary school teachers as well as adult education providers. They are also reviewed in each of the five content areas by subject matter experts.
Every TASC test question is reviewed multiple times by people who specialize in making sure test questions work. Even after they are done, the questions are pretested before becoming part of the official TASC test. Finally, TASC test is standardized, and scores are checked across a random sample of graduating high school seniors across the country to make sure the test is fair. To pass TASC test, you must show a level of achievement that meets or surpasses approximately 40 percent of the nation’s graduating high school seniors.
